HARRISON
Harrison Consulting, Inc.

Hybrid A.I. solutions, built on 30 years of engineering.

“A.I.” is everywhere. So, what makes Harrison any different from the thousands of A.I. pitches you hear every day?

Before getting into that, what is A.I. in simple English?

Strip away the hype, and today’s A.I. is a remarkably accurate guessing machine. It learns by studying billions of examples, then predicts the most likely answer to whatever you ask. However, it doesn’t “learn” the way we do. A child touches a hot stove once and never forgets, while an A.I. model may need thousands of examples to learn the same lesson. Even then, it’s still making an educated guess, much like the child who decides every stove is hot, whether it’s on or not.

A.I. General-purpose AI versus purpose-built AI on your own hardware
Harrison's PSI A.I. Server

Just as there are types of vehicles (18-wheelers, motorcycles, cargo ships, etc.), there are different kinds of purpose-built A.I. models. For example, language models read and write text, vision models read images and scanned documents, diffusion models generate graphics, etc. What makes ChatGPT and Claude exceptionally useful is that they combine these and other models with web search into a single service that can generate a billboard image one moment, and the perfect recipe for Peking duck the next. The trade-off is that ChatGPT and Claude need massive data centers to perform these services for millions of users at the same time. However, a single business usually doesn’t need such a wide range of functions, nor does it serve millions of users.

Day to day, most business users rely on A.I. for practical tasks: summarizing a document, translating a letter, drafting a reply to an email, or asking everyday business questions (“How many widgets did we sell last quarter?”). This is where small models, running on your own hardware, can handle the work quickly, affordably, and without your data ever leaving your office. Instead of renting an 18-wheeler to buy groceries, a business can now use its own car. And that’s where Harrison Consulting makes all the difference.

How Harrison Does A.I.

PSI A.I. Framework

How Harrison Does A.I.

We don’t ask your business to adapt to someone else’s software. We bring A.I. to the way you already work.

That’s why Harrison developed PSI, a framework that connects your existing business systems to locally hosted A.I. models. Simply put, you can talk to your business. Literally. Ask a question out loud, on your desktop or your phone, and get an answer straight from your own data.

Behind the scenes, PSI does what 30 years of software engineering has taught us to do: let proven business logic do the heavy lifting, and use A.I. where it shines, understanding your questions and working with language. PSI also translates documents, drafts email replies, reads scanned paperwork, and more.

Harrison installs the hardware in your office and wires PSI directly into your database, your workflow, and your business rules. And when the right tool doesn’t exist yet, we build it. Either way, everything runs on your own hardware while maintaining data sovereignty.

Why Data Sovereignty Matters

The crown jewels of any organization are its customer and vendor lists, and its patient and client rosters. They’ve taken years to build, and they’re what competitors would most like to see. So why send them to someone else’s servers?

Why Data Sovereignty Matters

The crown jewels of any organization are its customer and vendor lists, and its patient and client rosters. They’ve taken years to build, and they’re what competitors would most like to see. So why send them to someone else’s servers?

Giving any outside party access to that information is risky enough. Giving them access to the details behind it (client correspondence, contract drafts and revisions, case and treatment notes, billing histories, pricing agreements) is flirting with disaster.

The simplest way to avoid a HIPAA violation, a breach of client confidentiality, or just plain old-fashioned lost business is to let as little information as possible leave your organization. In the business world, you wouldn’t hand a contractor your client files without a signed NDA. Yet every day, people copy-paste the same information into A.I. services without a second thought.

With Harrison, the hardware and A.I. models are on premises, so nothing is sent to an outside service to be processed, stored, or reviewed.
